Our team has once again been separated physically, this time with me (Theresa) in Asia pursuing my internship for a few months. I have been homesick for the first few weeks, not so much now, as I have not been away from home for a long period of time.
I'm grateful to have met some wonderful friends who took me out for prata and surprised me with a "birthday cake", Singapore style! Thanks guys : )

Nonya kuehs are traditional Peranakan confectionary, super delicious and highly addictive.
Went out with one of my colleagues from work! First stop, Hainanese curry rice in Chinatown. This plate costs about $3SGD, or $2.50CAD. I am definitely in food paradise.
Visited a quirky store nearby called "The Little Drom Store". They have lots of small unique items that are just so adorable!
There's also a cafe sharing the same store space. Look at those cakes! So delicate and mouth watering..
Chinese New Year is just around the corner! Lots of decorations up for sale as well.
