Engagement | Christina & Jonathan

The first time I "met" Christina over the phone, we had a great conversation talking about her wedding preparations and what she was looking for in a wedding photographer. It was nice to learn that both Christina and her husband have a creative background, and that they are very much involved with their wedding. In fact, Jonathan helped to design their wedding invitations! When I met them in person, they shared their beautiful proposal story with me, and I learned how romantic Jonathan was in planning his proposal for Christina. Everything magically came together throughout that night in Whistler, and just as Jonathan proposed to Christina, live music began playing. It sounded like a fairy tale moment. For the engagement session, we headed to Granville Island where they often go on evening walks with their beloved dog Shelby. Shelby is super sweet and well-behaved, and she is super photogenic too. I'm very excited to be photographing their wedding this upcoming weekend. :)

Engagement | Monica & Dre

Last month, we had an engagement session with the loving couple Monica and Dre under Kunioo. When you see these two together, you can feel their love for each other. Although Dre seems tough on the outside, he is actually a very cool and sweet guy, who does whatever he can to make Monica happy. Monica is also very sweet and caring, and even brought her dog Yuki along to the shoot. It was fun exploring Tynehead Park in Surrey, and Theresa and I were really happy to be able to shoot during the golden hour. :)
