Personal | Granville Island

Amity and I (Marie) dedicated a Sunday to be models for our good friend Stephanie's photography assignment on portrait photography. The theme we were supposed to adopt was "school reunion" or "back-to-school". Needless to say, I sported a polo shirt and skirt, and Amity donned her plaid short and denim shorts. It was fun times drinking soda, travelling from location to location within Granville Island to capture various looks such as at Emily Carr, and Stephanie and I ended the day with macarons. Yum! :)

Some photos were taken by Amity or myself with my own camera because I thought it'd be fun to bring it along, while most are taken by Stephanie Fung. You can probably tell the difference by the tone of the photos. Her are more film-like, which are equally awesome!

Photoshoot | Belle

Amanda is a very good friend of mine. We met in university, having had a few classes together and being involved in school clubs. She is quite tall at 5'7 and super friendly! Amity had a great time doing her hair and makeup while getting to know more about Amanda, and I had fun trying to capture what was left of the light as the sun set that night. As well, I got to try out my new 50mm lens! :D

Amity and I really love doing what we do, and what better to use our skills than to make others feel and look good through fashion, hair, makeup, and photography :) Super fun too!

The photoshoot was not only to photograph Amanda, but we were also inspired by Amanda's awesome Belle-like gown (from Beauty and the Beast). Although it's not yellow, it is just as wonderful plus she handmade it herself!

Photoshoot | Boy Meets Girl [Behind the Scenes]

Alison was a pleasure to work with. She is a young girl (still in highschool!) who enjoys modeling and being in front of the camera. Starting when she was 13 years old, she has quite the experience in modelling, which can be seen by the fluidity of her poses and movement. She is a great listener who took directions well, and her professionalism amazed us as she captured the looks we aspired to create.

Photoshoot | Glitter Glam [Behind the Scenes]

We had a wonderful, yet short :( photoshoot last week with our friend, Maryam. Maryam is such a care-free, fun loving person. She really knows how to let loose and embrace the moment! She was up for what we had in store for her, which was a really metallic glam look. It was really nice to hang out and just have her all glammed up for a photoshoot. Amity did a fabulous job with the makeup. :)
