Collaboration | Floral Escape

We had the pleasure of collaborating with Sylvia Luu at Makeup Love Story for the second time, and she helped to put together two Springtime beauty makeup looks. These photographs were actually taken right before Spring and it was raining and windy, but it's hard to tell through these photographs. Sasha braved the cold wintry weather as well, and she looked stunning with her gorgeous blue eyes. We had a lot of fun making DIY floral headbands for this shoot, and just the bright pop of colours can really help brighten anyone's day.

Portraits | Back To Nature

It seems like a tradition that every year around this time, we have a photoshoot of each other. We have fun dressing up, trying out new locations, and just having a good time photographing one another. Then we go for some yummy food after and it is an all-around great bonding experience for us. We also never forget to bring a lot of personality to the shoot (this is a must)! This year we decided to go to a forest for our photoshoot and take in the inspiration from the surrounding greenery. The atmosphere is very chill and relaxing. It's been a great year exploring our photography and style with weddings, fashion-inspired shoots, and portraitures, but it's nice going back to this tradition and seeing how we've grown as people through these photographs of us.

Portrait | Things I've Missed

Living near forest trails can be quite magical at times. It almost feels like a new adventure with every step. I missed being close to nature ever since I left for an internship in Asia, and now that I've returned, I took the opportunity to visit the forest whilst capturing some serene moments of my brother with his trusty guitar.

Ah, I also missed my fuzzy babies. Introducing Toffee and Milo, my two "mini" rex bunnies. They've grown so much, literally. But I love them just the way they are, especially how chubby they are hehe.

2012 Recap & Updates

As the year 2012 comes to a close, we have a few exciting updates to share with everyone. Firstly, we would like to thank those who have continually supported us, shared our photographs with others, and left kind comments along the way. Thank you! It really means a lot to us as we continue to do what we love -- and that is to help capture special moments and tell your personal stories through photographs and film! It has been a busy year for all of us with many accounts of personal growth, newly gained experiences, and exciting opportunities.

Let's begin with some important updates!

Theresa is now in Singapore for a 4-month internship, and she will be blogging her adventures there, and photograph new friendly faces she will meet there. Crazy to think that early this year Marie was in Europe, and now we've swapped places since Theresa is now in Asia! Have you heard of Kunioo, a wedding photography and videography company? Marie is now a photographer (second shooter) and videographer for Kunioo. Don't worry! Business will run as usual with ammé photographie. We have just expanded our networks and will feature more engagements, weddings, and video on our website! If you're interested in having us capture a special moment for you, whether it be a graduation, friendship photoshoot, professional portraiture, or even an engagement session, feel free to contact us! We started the year with a bang as we were hired to document a bridal shower.








Marie went on an international exchange to Malmö, Sweden for half a year, where she met some amazing people including these wonderful girls from different countries who became the best of friends. Additionally, she took way too many photos (over 10,000...) during her time in Europe, but will definitely share them eventually!





When Marie returned to Vancouver, we were contacted to do a personal portraiture for a sweet girl whose name happens to be Candy! We had a great time during this photoshoot and learned how small this world as Marie and Candy had met during high school very briefly before!





We also decided to do a little impromptu photoshoot for fun! :)






Of course, can't forget the beautiful hazy glow photographs of Vuitton. :)






Our dear friend Amanda graduated from Simon Fraser University in early October! It was a heartfelt moment to see her walk across the stage in her brilliant blue gown.








Friendship photoshoots always make us smile. This one was photographed by Theresa and features her closest friends from high school. Best friends aren't afraid to be silly! :)






Marie's first project with Kunioo was a short film for their a story session featuring Susie & Alex. Check it out and let us know what you think. :)



It's amazing to note that we started off the year by capturing sweet and funny moments at a bridal shower, and ended with... a wedding! Another blog post is on its way that will go into more depth about the wedding, but here is one image that documented the couple's special day. :)
