Grad | Amanda

On October 5, 2011, I attended my friend Amanda's convocation ceremony at Simon Fraser University. It was a nice day as the graduation ceremony happens outdoors under the Convocation Mall, and she looked very happy and stunning in her blue graduation gown. I was glad to have witnessed her crossing the stage and I felt honoured to capture this special moment for her. It made me think of the day when I graduate and how I was also very close to it. Seeing her in that very moment and moving onto another chapter of her life, I felt very proud as Amanda is a very close friend of mine. I wish her the best in her future endeavours and I know that no matter what, I'll always be by her side to support her in the next chapter of her life! :)

The next few photos few the signature SFU mosaic wall!

I love how these photos turned out. :)

Yay for other friends who attended Amanda's convocation. :)

Theresa Chong - Welcome to the Team!

ammé photographie would like to welcome a very special person into our creative team: Theresa Chong! Theresa has been featured in our photos a couple of times, and we have even collaborated in a photoshoot together! She is a dear friend of ours, and photography has always seemed to come natural to her. We're so thrilled to have her part of our team and start to work on more creative projects together!

Portrait | Maryam

Spent a day with my good friend Maryam carrying on our tradition of shopping Downtown, eating donairs, and browsing at a local vintage store. We got free stuff, went to many places and the weather was nice. Not to mention we scored some pretty awesome deals. Later, we dropped by the Seawall in Yaletown to take some photographs before it got too dark. :)

Love this shot! So pretty with the autumn trees in the background.

Innocence.

Cute! Yay for random leaf we found on the ground. :)

Maryam is a strong person. Here's to represent it in ink.

Personal | Happy Birthday Amity!

For Amity's 20th Birthday (a week and three days ago), we headed to Cardero's for dinner and dressed up for the occasion. Everybody looked great, and we enjoyed the food and the service at the restaurant. Our friends, and I (Marie) prepared some special surprises for Amity. We had candles on cupcakes, and presented her with a Coastal Scents 78 piece makeup palette to add to her collection!

We hope you enjoyed your birthday celebration with us!

Personal | Granville Island

Amity and I (Marie) dedicated a Sunday to be models for our good friend Stephanie's photography assignment on portrait photography. The theme we were supposed to adopt was "school reunion" or "back-to-school". Needless to say, I sported a polo shirt and skirt, and Amity donned her plaid short and denim shorts. It was fun times drinking soda, travelling from location to location within Granville Island to capture various looks such as at Emily Carr, and Stephanie and I ended the day with macarons. Yum! :)

Some photos were taken by Amity or myself with my own camera because I thought it'd be fun to bring it along, while most are taken by Stephanie Fung. You can probably tell the difference by the tone of the photos. Her are more film-like, which are equally awesome!

And a jump shot, just because it felt right at the moment. :)
