Grad | Amanda

On October 5, 2011, I attended my friend Amanda's convocation ceremony at Simon Fraser University. It was a nice day as the graduation ceremony happens outdoors under the Convocation Mall, and she looked very happy and stunning in her blue graduation gown. I was glad to have witnessed her crossing the stage and I felt honoured to capture this special moment for her. It made me think of the day when I graduate and how I was also very close to it. Seeing her in that very moment and moving onto another chapter of her life, I felt very proud as Amanda is a very close friend of mine. I wish her the best in her future endeavours and I know that no matter what, I'll always be by her side to support her in the next chapter of her life! :)

Photoshoot | SIFE Executive Board 2011-12

We had the opportunity to take professional photos for the new SIFE (Student In Free Enterprise) executive board from Simon Fraser University. Instead of having our photoshoot at one of the 4 main campuses, we've decided to relocate ourselves downtown near the Vancouver Convention Centre. Well, clearly the photos are a bit out of order in terms of date taken. Apologies for that! We're glad to have so much interest and buzz around our photography. Thank you all for your support and kind words! It means a lot to us and we will continue to work hard to learn and improve our photography and make-up!

In May, I took professional photos of the new Student Marketing Association board of directors. I had spent two years as a Director before, so it felt good to give back to the club and meet all the people who will help to create their own legacy with the student organization this year. :)

Intercollegiate Marketing Competition (IMC)

The Intercollegiate Marketing Competition (http://www.sfu-imc.com/) is an annual marketing case competition with undergraduate business students from Western Canada and Washington, USA. As the banquet photographer for the event, I had a great time meeting new people, photographing them with my stealthy Canon 60D DSLR + external flash, and eating good food. Enjoy the photos!

Portrait | Linda

Now that school has started, life is once again as busy as ever! I needed some portraits for a class project, and also wanted to have a photoshoot just for fun. Hooray to Linda, who was my best friend back in elementary school, for volunteering to be my model for a day! We hadn't seen each other in ages, so Linda, Eric (another elementary school friend), and I trekked to a special spot on Simon Fraser University campus. There were only a few people there, but we got an area all to ourselves :) I find that the location is somewhat like a maze with all the stairs and various levels.

Linda may be awkward, creative, quirky, and cute, but is she also a really awesome person who knows just how to make you laugh! I had a great time! :)
