Analogous Gold

A few weeks ago, we brainstormed a creative shoot just between the two of us. We wanted to try something new. Our photography style for ammé photographie has always been bright and cheerful with natural lighting. This time, we decided to challenge ourselves and use studio lighting instead. The theme for this photoshoot is contrast, drama, and fashion.

It was super fun, especially when you can blast and dance to music while taking photos! Like what you see? Leave us a comment below and tells us if you would be interested in doing a shoot like this. Stay tuned for more in the future.

Portrait | Candy

Two weeks and a half ago, we had a dreamy-esque portrait photoshoot with Candy. She had a specific theme in mind, and we had a nice chat about how we could help her achieve the desired look. Dreamy, youthful, innocent, Taylor Swift, and a bit of Kpop group After School -- those were the key concepts going into this session. We wanted a meadow-y location where we can have this feeling of being lost in nature. Jericho Beach ended up as our photoshoot location, and although it is not a "meadow" per se, we were still able to get some great shots with the bit of nature and tall grass in an area within the park, which worked well for us. :)

Friendship Portrait | Kasia & Reinie

I had the amazing experience of going on an international exchange to Malmö, Sweden for half year. During my six months abroad, I met two amazing girls, Kasia and Reinie, who bonded so quickly with each other, and whom I had great pleasure of knowing and being their Canadian friend. :) Nearing the end of the exchange, it felt right to do a friendship photoshoot to capture the wonderful friendship of these lovely ladies. It was also Kasia's birthday, so it was a special time to celebrate and create lasting memories for both of them. I definitely miss both of these girls who have such kind and fun personalities, and hopefully someday I will see them again. For now, I can reminisce on our super fun photoshoot together (where I was behind the camera) and how easy they were to work with. I had a great time with their natural ability in front of the camera. They were definitely not camera shy! :)

So photogenic. :)

Love their silliness.
