Serene Winter | Amity & Dave

Amity and I have been friends for a decade now. I have always known her to be a fun-loving person who never ceases to amaze me in her charm and determination as a person. Although I didn't think it was possible, along came Dave who helped take her outside of her comfort zone. To me, Amity was fearless and brave and confident, and here he was, sweeping her off her feet and taking her to epic outdoor adventures along British Columbia and teaching her how to rock climb too! I also experienced my first outdoor rock climbing with these two this summer on a camping trip. As such, when they decided to choose Lynn Canyon in North Vancouver, I thought it was such a perfect venue for their couple photoshoot since they love the outdoors. Luck was even on our side as it snowed a few nights before, so we were able to capture very serene and beautiful photographs with a white wintry backdrop.

Collaboration | Floral Escape

We had the pleasure of collaborating with Sylvia Luu at Makeup Love Story for the second time, and she helped to put together two Springtime beauty makeup looks. These photographs were actually taken right before Spring and it was raining and windy, but it's hard to tell through these photographs. Sasha braved the cold wintry weather as well, and she looked stunning with her gorgeous blue eyes. We had a lot of fun making DIY floral headbands for this shoot, and just the bright pop of colours can really help brighten anyone's day.

Wedding | Lisa & Chris

For Lisa and Chris, their friends and family are a source of light that inspires them in their relationship, faith, and values. They celebrated their special day together with their loved ones on the night of The Celebration of Lights fireworks in Vancouver, BC. Their wedding day couldn't be more perfect. The weather was nice and warm, everything was on time, and everybody was having a blast. Thanks to my dear friend Kyla, one of the bridesmaids, who hired us to help capture Lisa and Chris' wedding. She's such a sweetheart and gifted a wedding cinematic short to her friends as a present. We are so glad to have been there to not only document their wedding, but to witness the love and bond of Lisa and Chris. They are both very hardworking, sweet, and honest, and in each other's presence they both light up and spread joy to people around them. Congratulations once again Lisa & Chris!

Wedding | Monica & Dre

For Monica and Dre, red is their lucky colour. Red symbolizes their Asian roots, their passion for each other, and their love for their family and friends. And lucky we were as the entire wedding day went by very smoothly along with warm, sunny weather. We had the lovely opportunity to photograph Monica and Dre's wedding under Kunioo. Monica and Dre met at church, and when Dre first laid eyes on Monica, he knew she was the one. "She's mine," he told his closest friends. And those words were put into action that faithful day when they became husband and wife. Not only do you see the love in their eyes, but they also have great joy singing together. During the wedding reception, they surprised each other with a song, singing to each other from their hearts. At the end of the night, we got to witness our first money/prosperity dance, a Filipino tradition!
